The BIO-SEA B range for the treatment of ships' ballast water

Since 2011, BIO-UV Group designs, manufactures and markets ballast water treatment systems worldwide.

Ballasts are tanks used to balance boats according to their load. Dual regulations, international and American, require all ships to be equipped with a system to treat their ballast water.

BIO-UV Group has obtained the IMO and USCG (American) certifications necessary to be able to market its systems worldwide.

Technology

The BIO-SEA B range combines mechanical filtration and ultraviolet (UV-C) disinfection in a single fully automated unit. It can treat flows ranging from 55 to 2000 m3/h in fresh, sea or brackish water. It can also handle turbid waters since the system has been tested and certified for full flow operation in waters where UV transmittance is very low.

BIO-SEA systems can be skid mounted for new boats or modular for existing boats that have very little space.
