BIO-UV MPL SD Medium Pressure Range for disinfection and dechloramination in Public and Semi-Public Pools

BIO-UV Group has developed and patented, since 2003, specific ranges for the disinfection and dechloramination of swimming pools and collective spas at medium and low pressure.

To date, more than 3,500 swimming pools and spas are equipped (municipal swimming pools, campsites, fitness centers, lodges, etc.), including more than 1,200 in France, for the greatest comfort of users, operators and better respect for their health.

With its technological advance, BIO-UV Group was the first company to be approved by the Ministry of Health for medium pressure (MP) dechloramination, and it has also been approved for low pressure (LP and UV HO) since 2013. Thus, BIO-UV Group is now the only manufacturer to be approved for its 2 ranges, medium and low pressure.

Our dechloramination devices are thus authorized for the equipment of pools for collective use, subject to the control of the ARS (Regional Health Agency).

All lines are NSF 50 certified and Cryptosporidium rated. The performance evaluated, which exceeds the requirements of this standard, allows optimal disinfection efficiency to reduce micro-organisms (such as bacteria, viruses, Crypto, Giardia... which are not destroyed by ozone and chlorine at usual doses).

Features of the MPL SD Range

• The MPL SD range delivers 60 mJ/cm2 at the end of lamp life to guarantee optimal dechloramination
• Reactors in Super Duplex anti-corrosion bead blasted material
• Treatment of high flow rates with in-line hydraulic connection without loss of pressure
• High power multi-wavelength medium pressure lamps to reduce the number of lamps installed
• High frequency electronic ballast guaranteeing maximum UV output from the lamps and integrated control
• UV sensor with management PLC (optional: remote management via a 4-20 mA output) providing continuous measurement of UV efficiency and controlling all operation and maintenance parameters
• Temperature sensor (optional), flow sensor
• Lamp life: 9000 to 12000 hours
• Power regulation: medium pressure is the only technology to act on the 3 chloramines (mono-, di- and trichloramines) and to avoid the risk of increased THMs
