The Husmann HFG5 PTO shredder is specially designed for shredding green waste, pruning branches, prunings, clippings, bark, trunks up to 30 cm in diameter but also waste from sawmills, pallets, reclaimed wood, agricultural waste, straw, etc.
The crushed and defibred material will have a suitable use for composting, mulch, for boiler rooms, spreading and volume reduction.

Description of the Husmann HFG5 PTO shredder

The HUSMANN HFG5 wood chipper is driven by the PTO of a tractor. 90° drive by tractor PTO (1000 rpm). Transmission to the rotor by two high-performance 4-groove V-belts and a tensioning unit.

The in-feed conveyor, in-feed roller and hydraulically liftable grading grid are powered by the tractor's hydraulic circuit. The rear discharge conveyor is powered via a small hydraulic pump, which is driven by a small V-belt. This crusher has a no-stress system of the feed, if the rotor is overloaded, the feed conveyor and the feed roller will reduce the feed speed, stop or reverse to allow the rotor to reach again its rated speed. The overload signal from the sensor also warns the tractor.

The HFG5 shredder will be fed by an excavator, a loader or a manitou, it can also be fed in cascade by a pre-shredder. The rack-mounted feed roller continuously feeds the material to the shredding rotor. This roller is also operated via the “raise” command, which makes it possible to process bulky materials. The maximum feed opening is 550mm. The rotor is equipped with 42 80 mm tungsten carbide tools, arranged in a staggered arrangement. The counter-cut bar is also easily replaceable. Depending on the amount of stones, minerals, metals and other abrasive materials, the hammers can reach a service life of 150 to 400 working hours. guarantee high quality defibration and high throughput. The rotor speed is 1000 rpm. The rear discharge conveyor is hinged and can be easily folded down allowing easy and easy access to the grinding chamber and rotor for maintenance, servicing and cleaning.

The HUSMANN HFG5 shredder has a heavy rotor 1000 mm in diameter, equipped with 42 replaceable mass tool holders on which the tools with tungsten carbide inserts are bolted, total weight of one tool 15 kg. Rotor width 1500 mm. High inertia rotor for maximum kinetic energy allowing excellent defibration. The rotor rotates at a speed of 1000 rpm. It is possible to mount blades on the tool holders.
