The HUSMANN HL2 17 22 twin-rotor slow shredder is designed to shred mainly refuse and ordinary industrial waste but also mixed waste from construction sites , wood , pallets , stumps , logs , forestry waste , timber demolitions , plastics , etc.

Unlike its counterpart the HL2 16 22, this machine is a coarser shredder which increases the aggressiveness during its work thanks to its rotor spread by more than 10 cm . The hair-raising throughput of the machine makes this grinder an optimal and prized machine for its function .

Description of the Husmann HL2 17 22 twin-rotor slow shredder

• Engine driven by a CATERPILLAR of 480 HP (354kW) .
• Hydraulic unit consisting of a diesel engine driving 2 high-efficiency hydraulic pumps.
• Two sets of hydraulic motor and special maximum torque reducer drive each of the rotor shafts asynchronously.
• SAUER DANFOS hydraulic pumps and hydraulic motors .
• cleanfix fan reversion system.
• Shredding unit with 2 rotors 660 mm in diameter and 2260 mm long with oversized steel shafts and large capacity tools shredding in both directions and replaceable (fixing by screwing).
• The tools in special manganese steel with high resistance to abrasion are arranged in such a way as to ensure aggressiveness and maximum throughput, 16 or 32 tools can be mounted per rotor.
• The lateral cutting combs are made of special steel with high resistance to abrasion .
• System of sealing baffles at the level of the passages of shafts through the body of the crusher. Regrinding comb under the rotors for refining the ground products.
• Direction reversal function as soon as the pressure threshold is reached , or the selected program requires it.
• Automatic increase of the torque generated by the hydraulic motors by speed reduction depending on the load.

The discharge belt conveyor is 1400 mm wide and has an unloading height of approximately 3200 mm .

Its spacious 6 m3 hopper tilts hydraulically , the opening on the rotors is 2260×1600 mm.
