I am looking for a shredder for various waste. Can a cardboard shredder also shred paper, metal, plastic, tires and solid waste? A shredder with 1 shaft is enough to be able to shred all these types of waste?
Hello,
Yes for a large amount of waste, however for metal waste and tires we recommend dedicated shredders such as 2 shaft/axle shredders.
What equipment do you recommend for the destruction of metal drums? What to do if they are contaminated?
Here are our product recommendations:
K25, K30 and K50

To destroy metal barrels, we recommend 2-axis shredders in 37 or 55 kW.
An angular hopper allows the barrels to be positioned on the edge to be easily caught by the knives and thus increase the productivity of the crusher.
These same shredders are recommended for destroying household equipment such as washing machine structures.
When the barrels are contaminated, we propose the addition of a recovery screw which will separate the liquids from the solids. The liquid part is sucked up and stored in a collection tank.
The DIN standard determines the level of destruction to ensure data confidentiality.
DIN 66399 governs paper media as well as digital media: CDs, DVDs, credit cards, USB keys and hard drives.
Depending on the nature of the information contained on these media and their sensitivity, the standard classifies them by level of security.
This level, from 1 to 7 (strictly confidential), determines the size to which these media must be shredded to keep the information secret.
Recycling professionals whose activity is to offer a confidential destruction service are equipped with shredders that meet the DIN 66399 standard.
Papers, USB keys and other media are destroyed in pieces of a few millimeters.
For example, a hard disk containing a patent is classified H5 and will be crushed into particles of maximum 17x17mm equivalent to a 10 euro cent coin.
Any company is also concerned, which is why SatrindTech has developed large capacity industrial shredders (1K65) as well as compact shredders (S3RI) to be installed in a computer room.

Is the use of a grinder specific to a type of product or can it be adapted to different products?
A crusher is configured for use depending on the material to be processed but also on the volume and the desired particle size. However, it can be adapted for a new use, in particular second-hand. For this adaptation to be successful, it is necessary to study the existing machine and make adjustments with, for example, a more powerful motor, a set of more or less wide knives and with a defined number of teeth. The manufacturer of the shredder in question will be able to advise you.
