What does double-column water demineralization mean?

The double column water demineralization system makes it possible to use separate resin beds, which include a bed of anionic resin for the first, and a cationic resin for the second. These resins have high exchange capacities.
Unlike mixed-bed demineralizers, separated beds allow on-site regeneration. Acid and Base are therefore under certain constraints used to automatically regenerate resins.
Regeneration occurs when the desired conductivity, previously indexed in the menu, is no longer reached.
In this case, it is also necessary to provide a storage reserve for the rejects for passivation before their elimination.
Once the automatic regeneration operation has been carried out, the device is once again ready to be put back into service.
