Noise treatment and noise pollution

The noise and noise pollution produced by the various industries or production sites are considered, in the same way as the various chemical, organic or biological pollution treated specifically, as an attack on man and his environment. There are two main types of treatment for noise reduction and noise pollution. First of all, it is necessary to limit the production of noise at its source, for example by making improvements or modifications to the machines or techniques which generate them. Secondly, when limiting the noise caused is not possible, there are different technologies that will create a screen between the sound source and its environment. Several soundproofing systems are available, each adapted to the type of noise pollution they are capable of reducing. These are, for the main ones: soundproofing boxes, anti-noise walls and acoustic screens.
Is there legally a notion of "compatibility" between habitat and artisanal zone? If so, how is it assessed?
With a sound level limiter, acting on the sound level by cutting off the electrical signal, can the noise be limited to 80dB?
What equipment is needed to carry out an acoustic study of noise prevention? Is it possible to rent it? Or is a service possible?
